Well, that time of the year has rolled around again where you get to add to your wall of posters that you’ve collected since your teenage years. We want to keep things fresh, so tear down some of the older examples that may have fallen out of your favour and replace them with these beauts. As always, NZ Performance Car and NZV8 go head-to-head to present you with our favourite cars from the last few issues — NZ Performance Car’s pick on one side and NZV8’s pick on the back. Needless to say, every car is wicked in its own right, but only one of each pair can take out the bragging rights on your wall.
Check out what to expect in the latest NZ Performance Car vs NZV8 Posterbook Vol. 7 — The Ultimate Showdown, which is in stores now:
Zen Thunsupap’s 1JZ-powered Chaser (GX100) from the June 2016 issue (234) of NZ Performance Car vs Raj Patel’s blown 545ci big block ford XW Falcon from the May 2016 issue (132) of NZV8.
Blake Harpur’s and Jared Croft’s Silvias from the April 2016 issue (232) of NZ Performance Car vs Ricky Ireland’s 700hp 496ci big block Chev HZ Ute known as ‘Percy’ from the April 2016 issue (131) of NZV8.
It’s been a fair few issues since both NZ Performance Car and NZV8 stopped running posters in the monthly editions, however, we still get asked where they have gone. So to clear it up for everyone, here’s the deal. We know that the posters have become a Kiwi staple and get plastered on walls the country over, and with that in mind, we wanted to bring you the best-quality poster possible. This means they are now reserved for the special-edition poster books, with better colour, thicker paper, and a much better selection of images.
Vol. 7 dropped on July 18, and Vol. 8 will be due out in September, so keep an eye out!
