I’m really starting to dig Lexus. It seems that each month I’m receiving an announcement from the stylish brand of another high-performance vehicle that they’re going to produce. As excited as I was to hear about their string of turbo performance sedans, they don’t quite live up to the raw energy that the RC-F produced. My prayers have been answered though, as Lexus are releasing a new version, named the GS-F.
G doesn’t sound as as racy as R … is it the same? Well, we won’t get into the details, but it’s essentially the RC-F with four doors. The same 348kW (467hp) quad-cam five-litre V8 that revs to well over where a V8 should, the same eight-speed automatic that has the coolest downshift blip we’ve ever heard, and the same electronic torque-vectoring differential (TVD), which has three modes: normal, slalom, and track.
All you have to do is check out the images from Lexus — the things a machine and we cannot wait to get our hands on one!
