The Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge (WTAC), being held on October 16–17 is shaping up to be one of the best yet, with more international teams than ever before descending on Sydney Motorsport Park from all corners of the globe.
Thinking of heading over and already purchased your tickets, or are you planning on getting around to it soon? We suggest you get in before the end of August as we’ve teamed up with the good guys at WTAC to give you the chance to win a serious VIP and accommodation upgrade.
If you win you’ll receive three nights’ accommodation at the Atura Hotel (twin-share), which is walking distance from the track (and $640 in value), and you and a friend will have your standard tickets upgraded to a VIP lounge pass ($440 value). All you have to do to enter is purchase a ticket before the end of August, and you’re in the draw!
To purchase your tickets jump online here, and then email your ticket number to greg@superlap.com.au and you’re in the draw. Imagine how sweet it will be staying across the road from the track and having that corporate hospo directly above the pit garages. If we could enter, we would.
If you’re yet to decide whether to go or not, there are four very good Kiwi reasons to head over. Hell Racing will contest the Pro class in its Evo, and 3 Rotor Racing will have a serious crack at Open class in its Mazda RX-7, driven by Andy Duffin. There will be a few Kiwi guest appearances too. Rod Millen will hoon around Sydney Motorsport Park in his legendary Pikes Peak Celica, and Paul McCarthy will display his Zakspeed Escort out on the circuit. Oh and did we mention ‘the Giz’ (Shane van Gisbergen) will be back behind the wheel of a reworked MCA Hammerhead looking to better his third-place finish from last year … just saying.
