If, like me, you follow plenty of overseas drifting, then it’s likely you’ve heard that D1 Grand Prix–legend Youichi Imamura will be piloting a Lexus LFA for the upcoming season. Insane yes, crazy no! The supercar has been built by a Toyota dealership network known as OTG (Osaka Toyopet Group), who own a large number of Toyota Dealerships, and I’m guessing one of the owners just had a spare LFA lying around. The V10 is long gone and in its place a TRD-build Nascar V8, similar to the one found in the RS*R 86. With a chassis that is made up of nearly all composites, I hope whoever is fitting the repair bills has very, very deep pockets. While the video is very unbefitting of the car, it’s all that we have until the D1GP season kicks off.
