Killer Corvette up for grabs

14 December 2014

We’re lucky enough to be exposed to so many cool cars here at The Motorhood, that it takes something truly special to get us really excited. When this 1973 Corvette rolled through the doors of our studio to be shot for NZV8 magazine a few years ago, we were like kids in a candy shop.

The owner had used the car for a bit of circuit racing, so had put plenty of time and effort into getting the car to turn and stop, as well as fitting all the obvious safety requirements. As things do, his goals changed and the car had its monster motor ripped out and a comparatively tame 454ci big block dropped in its place. The car was then put back on the road. Don’t go thinking that it’s not still an absolute rocket, as it is still one of the fastest and best set-up cars you’ll find on the streets.

However, the time has come for it to be sold and it looks like someone is going to get a bargain at $59,995. Better still, since it’s sitting on the yard at Industry Motors, finance is available, so if it’s a touch out of your current bank balance, it could still be yours.

If you’re keen, make sure to pop in and see Taylor at Industry Motors, 144 Captain Springs Road, Onehunga, Auckland, or give him a call on 09 636 7492 or 027 600 5600. Make sure you get him to fire it into life, as the sound from those side-exit exhausts will be music to any petrolhead’s ears!

The full specs are below, but check out Industry Motors or Facebook for more pics and info.
